Life As An Aspiring Game Audio Programer
Podcasts on sound recording

I’ve just followed a link from an old post and come across a selection of podcasts i say selection there is 45 episodes in total. Most concern sound for films so i presume that there is a lot of content on sound design and post-production as well as sound recording. Help from the WEB

So its been tough learning how to script (from knowing nothing) but thankfully theres a lot of help out there, be it lurking in the depth of forums such as http://forum.unity3d.com/ or in the brains of exceedingly helpful people who can be found here http://www.willgoldstone.com/blog/

if it weren’t for these resources my university project would be going nowhere!

My life as a hermit has begun

So today at uni I have possibly joined two games design groups each very different but both I hope will be enjoyable to work on. The only similarity is that they both want to use a game engine I had never heard of until today, it looks far more complicated than UDK but hopefully the hours and hours and hours it will take to get use to it will be worthwhile.

Start of FMP

So today is officially the start of my final major project at Leeds Met University (UK), I am hoping to join a games design group tomorrow and offer myself and my services as an audio director position type thingy. So my roles within this group would be to record, sound design and implement audio for what hopefully would be a FPS using the UDK engine. I’ll post some examples from my interactive audio project to show my work so far.

This is an amusing take on my future career. Hopefully!

This video basically inspired me to learn about sound design and made me want to become a sound designer after i graduate from uni.
